No, since the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle does not contain a filter, it does not remove physical impurities from the water. The UV-C LED technology is effective in eradicating up to 99.99% of harmful bacteria, mold and viruses - preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria and eliminating water-born illnesses.
Can I put other beverages in there besides water?
Yes. But bear in mind that the Flasqua SiPure™ UV-C LED cleaning works well only for water and UV-C LED cleaning mode we do not recommend for other beverages. If you do end up putting sugary drinks, tea or coffee in your bottle, hand wash it after each use with warm soapy water.

How does the LED reach the top of the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
The Flasqua SiPure™ Bottle solves for the hardest to reach places in the bottle where bacteria are most likely to grow and does not reach the mouth area of the bottle. We recommend hand washing the mouth area of the bottle from time-to-time to get rid of any physical build-up or residue.

You will not need to replace it as UV-C LED technology does not require a filter replacement and is MicroUSB rechargeable. The UV-C LED component itself is rated for >100,000 cycles (on/offs). So depending on your use it should last a very very long time.
Is the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle water resistant?
Yes, the MicroUSB port is waterproof and rated IPX7.
Will the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle sweat?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is a double-wall vacuum insulated design that will keep your water cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours, so it will not sweat or exhibit condensation on the outside of the bottle.
What type of battery is used in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle cap?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle uses a Li-Polymer battery, similar to one you would find in your smart phone.

What material is the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle made out of?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is double-wall vacuum insulated made with electropolished, food grade stainless steel SUS316 (contains nickel). It is BPA and phthalates free.
Why doesn’t the Micro-USB charging cable fit in the cap’s charging port?
Be sure that the MicroUSB symbol on your charging cable is facing down if the top of the cap is upright. The cap will indicate that it is charging with a red light.
Can I put ice in my Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
Ice is completely fine to use with the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle, and will not damage the bottle itself in any way. However, it may impact the efficiency of the UV-C LED since Flasqua SiPure™ uses a line of sight technology and the ice may prohibit the UV-C LED from reaching certain areas of the bottle when solid.
Can I use alkaline water in my Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
Yes, you can put alkaline water in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle and it should not impact the efficacy of the UV-C LED technology, nor will it impact the mineral or acid levels in alkaline water.
Can I put hot water in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is double-wall vacuum insulated that will keep liquids cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours!

What happens to the germs and bacteria in the water or bottle? Is it filtered out?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is a water purification system. UV-C light is blasted at 280 nanometers inside the bottle when your cap is activated to break down bacteria and viruses at the DNA level, rendering them inactive and preventing potential growth, making your water safe for consumption. The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is not a filter and does not remove any physical particles from the water.
Technology
How does the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle work?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle uses UV-C technology to purify your water and bottle at the touch of a button. The bottle cap with UV-C LED tehnology purify both the water you put inside as well as the inside of the bottle. The UV-C light eradicates biological contaminants by destroying their DNA.
What is UV-C LED technology?
The UV-C wavelength emitted from the UV-C LED located in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle caps are optimized at the 280 nanometer spectrum to eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, making the water pure and safe to drink. At the minimum, the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle should be filled with water that is clear to the eyes and does not contain any physical sediment as the UV-C LED will not remove these impurities from the water. The UV-C LED chip in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle are smaller, more energy efficient, non-toxic (mercury-free), and more economical compared to traditional Mercury-based UV technology.
Does the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle remove heavy metals or fluoride?

Is the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle safe to use?
Yes, the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is safe. UV-C LED light does not remain in the water and therefore is perfectly safe for consumption.
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle does have a Safety Mode, which is indicated by a flashing red light that prevents accidental activation when the cap is not on the bottle by dimming the UV-C LED light. One should never place the activated UV-C LED in direct contact with the skin or eyes.
The Uses
Is the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle refrigerator/microwave/dishwasher safe?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle may be refrigerated but bear in mind the double-wall vacuum insulated feature of this bottle will not allow contents inside to be affected by external temperatures.
Do not put the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle in the freezer, microwave, or dishwasher.
Can I fly with my Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
Yes, it will have no problem coming along with you on flights as long as you empty out all the liquids from the bottle. The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle should be kept on your person or in your carry-on. It may not be transported in a checked bag due to the Li-polymer battery in the cap.
Can I clean the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
The Flasqua SiPure™ bottle are 10,000 times more hygienic than a normal reusable bottle. You almost never have to clean the bottle if it is used for water. You may need to clean the bottle when you use it for liquids other than water. We recommend gentle hand washing with soap and warm water and wiping the mouth area from time to time.
Can I put other beverages in there besides water?

Can I use the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle in the backcountry or while traveling?
Yes! Our UV-C LED technology will eliminate 99.99% of germs, bacteria, and viruses. It will not remove heavy metals or chemicals in the water. It will depend on the region that you are in as to which contaminants exist in the water, so it may be advised to take additional precautionary methods with any Flasqua SiPure™ bottle depending on the water source to ensure the safety of the water.
Can I put fruits in the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle? What will happen?
Fruit is fine to use with the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle, and will not damage the bottle itself in any way nor will the UV-C LED technology affect the fruit. However, it may impact the efficiency of the UV-C LED since Flasqua SiPure™ uses a line-of-sight technology and the fruit may prohibit the UV-C LED from reaching certain areas of the bottle. We would recommend washing the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle with warm soap and water if used with fruit.
How clean must the water be?
At a minimum, it should be clear to the eye with no heavy sediment.
Product Care
Do I ever need to wash my Flasqua SiPure™ bottle?
Tip #1 Wiping the mouth area
Give your bottle and the cap a warm soapy rinse once in a while to get rid of any build-up around the mouth area (primarily from lip balms, lipstick, oils, and food residue).
Tip #2 Proper rinses
Yes, your Flasqua SiPure™ bottle is UV-C LED cleaning so it doesn’t require daily cleanings which are recommended for ordinary water bottles. As long as you’re using your Flasqua SiPure™ bottle for water, you don’t have to give your Flasqua SiPure™ bottle and Cap (don’t worry–it’s waterproof!) a proper washing for at least 3-4 weeks. Just hand wash with warm soapy water every so often.
Tip #3 Cleaning after use with beverages other than water
Coffee, tea, milk, and sugary drinks, which are known to stain, can reduce the efficacy of the Flasqua SiPure™ UV-C LED technology by preventing the light from bouncing off the electropolished walls of the bottle. If you do choose to use coffee, tea, or sugary drinks with your Flasqua SiPure™ bottle, use a bottle brush to scrub with warm soapy water to remove staining promptly after each use. This will ensure that your bottle is working at optimum efficiency to keep your bottle and water fresh.

Note: Do not put the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle in the dishwasher. Always charge your Flasqua SiPure™ Cap before washing or wait until completely dry before charging to avoid damage or injury.
Can I wash the cap?
The cap is waterproof IPX7-rated, so you are able to hand wash the cap if needed. Please ensure that the cap is completely dry before charging to avoid the risk of injury.

Does the Flasqua SiPure™ bottle have a warranty?
Flasqua offers a 1-year limited warranty on all bottles purchased from www.flasqua.com and authorized retailers. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of any defective material or component. In the rare case that we are unable to repair or replace the defective material or component, we will submit a refund. It does not cover any issues due to normal wear and tear, misuse or loss/theft of the bottle.

How long will it take to receive my order?

For deliveries in the European Union, orders will take between 5-7 business days to arrive.

For deliveries in any other country, orders will take between 7-14 business days to arrive.

Please allow one additional business day for processing.

What is Flasqua's Return Policy?
We would be happy to accept returns of any unused Flasqua product* (excluding charging cables and personalized Flasqua Bottles) in its original packaging within 30 days of the purchase date. Please reach out to info@flasqua.com and our Customer Experience team will assist you with the return process.
Limited Edition/Gift Sets: You can return any Flasqua Bottle as long as it fits our Return Policy. Please note, if the set is not returned in full, the promotional discount will no longer be applicable. What is Flasqua's Exchange Policy?
We would be happy to exchange your unused Flasqua product (excluding personalized Flasqua Bottles) in its original packaging within 30 days of the purchase date. Complimentary exchanges are available the European Union. Please reach out to info@flasqua.com and our Customer Experience team will assist you with the exchange process.
We are unable to exchange any Flasqua Bottles purchased with a Limited Edition Set for another size, color, or style. Limited Edition Sets are only available in the color and size combinations offered upon purchase. If you think you are experiencing issues with your bottle, please register your bottle here to submit a warranty claim.
If the Flasqua Bottle is returned used or does not pass our inspection, it will not be eligible for an exchange. Flasqua will not be responsible for shipping any product deemed ineligible for an exchange back to the customer.

Why can't I check out?

I received my Flasqua SiPure™ bottle, but I can’t find the charging cable. What do I do?
A MicroUSB charging cable should have been included with your bottle. It would be located with the bottle in the packaging. You can also check the inside the hollow part of the packaging under the bottle as it may have slipped into one of the sides while in transit.
